Wayne graduated from Farnborough College in 1992 with a BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design with Business Studies and started work at Nicol & Sanderman Advertising. In the following year he joined Abbott & Co Advertising in Farnham.

He then moved to Victory Graphics in their Reprographics studio where for over three years he prepared artwork for print. He also managed the production of the studio and built up an invaluable understanding of printing.
